thermidor!

Hobbies
I'm working with a friend on a documentary about the effects of Hurricane Katrina. Also, I've gotten interested in 35mm and pinhole photography, and I play the accordion in a band with six other accordion players. For a while I had an obsession with Russia...which ended when I lived there for four months and my naive romanticism was crushed. I do speak Russian a bit. Everyone asks why I studied Russian, but there's no reason really. I just like the way it looks and sounds.

Work History
Right now I work at a nonprofit which helps impoverished kids learn to read. I'm a writer (of sorts) and a video editor. It's the greatest gig ever. In the past I have taught video production workshops at public schools, worked the graveyard shift at a convenience store, projected films, been an independent video store clerk, and interned for a low-budget horror film company.

Plans
Mostly I just want my life to be interesting, productive and aesthetically pleasing. Right now I'm in a dormant phase, paying off debts to society and hatching mad schemes for the future, but while I figure all of that out, I'm literally melting my accordion by practicing so much and attempting to finish at least 50% of my zine/music/film projects.
